The Prime Minister outlined the need to strengthen financial discipline, as a number of administrators of budget programs are experiencing non-disbursement of funds.
The results of the development of Kazakhstan and the execution of the republican budget for January-May of this year were considered at a meeting chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov.
Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantirov reported that during the reporting period, the economy of the republic grew by 4.5%.
As Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Finance Yerulan Zhamaubayev noted, over 8 trillion tenge of revenues were received in the state budget over 5 months, the plan was fulfilled by 103%. Including the republican budget replenished by 5.4 trillion tenge (93.8%), local budgets - 2.6 trillion tenge (128.9%). Revenue plans have been overfulfilled in almost all regions. At the same time, state budget expenditures were executed by 98.5%, republican - by 98.8%, local budgets - by 98.9%.
The Prime Minister stressed that, following the results of five months, the main contribution to the growth of the republic's economy is made by the manufacturing industries. In particular, confident dynamics is observed in mechanical engineering - 32%, including the automotive industry - 41%, as well as in light industry - 31%.
In general, for the reporting period, for all the main macro indicators, there was an increase in the Abay region, Akmola, West Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan regions, Ulytau region and the city of Almaty. The lowest rates are observed in Atyrau and Almaty regions.
As the Head of the Government noted, international financial institutions reduced their forecasts for the growth of the world economy by almost 2 times.
“However, despite external factors, we need to maintain macroeconomic stability and ensure an increase in economic growth rates. It is necessary to concentrate as much as possible on the qualitative development of basic industries, to take effective measures to improve the well-being of citizens through the growth of labor incomes, the creation of quality jobs,” said Alikhan Smailov.

In this regard, it is necessary to ensure strict observance of budget parameters and the effective allocation of funds to achieve the greatest socio-economic effect.
“The implementation of the planned investment measures for the repair and reconstruction of the infrastructure of housing and communal services should be under control. All planned indicators of socio-economic development must be achieved,” Smailov concluded.
