Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highlighted that he attaches special importance to his first visit in Mongolia as President.
According to Tokayev, Mongolia is one of the key partners of Kazakhstan, as both countries share the common centuries-long traditions and cultural and historic roots.
Distinguished President, I arrived in Mongolia on a state visit upon your invitation. This is a great honor for me and all members of the delegation. We’re to sign today important bilateral documents, including the Joint Declaration on establishment of strategic partnership. I’m convinced that this move will promote cooperation at all levels and open broad prospects for the benefit of the development of the two nations, said the Kazakh leader.
For his part, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh expressed confidence that the state visit of the Kazakh President to Mongolia will take the bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
Indeed, around 30 years have passed since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. This state visit is the first one in the past 16 years. Our country regards your visit as a basis for defining prospects and areas of bilateral cooperation for the nearest future. Your visit is of special significance, as it elevates the relationship between the two countries to a completely new level, namely a strategic partnership, said the Mongolian President.
During the in-depth conversation, the Heads of state paid special attention to the prospects for developing political, trade and economic and investment cooperation.
Issues of interaction in agriculture, mining, energy, transport and logistics as well as finance were under discussion.
During the talk, Kazakh President Tokayev highlighted the importance of quality implementation of joint projects and documents due to be signed.
The sides also exchanged views on the current issues of international and regional agenda, including cooperation within multilateral bodies.
In conclusion, Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh gifted Kassym-Jomart Tokayev the Kazakh-Mongolian dictionary, which contains over 60,000 entries.
