"This is undoubtedly a major event. Taking this opportunity, I would like to congratulate all participants on this important date. In a short period of time, the UTC has become an authoritative structure, strengthening its status on the world stage. I believe that all this was achieved thanks to our unbreakable unity and solidarity. I am confident that today's summit will contribute to further strengthening of cooperation," the head of state said.
The President summed up the results of our country's chairmanship of the amalgamated territorial communities.
"Kazakhstan's chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States was held under the motto TURKTIME! We paid special attention to strengthening the unity of the Turkic world, expanding comprehensive cooperation. Specific results were achieved, a number of projects were implemented, more than 80 events were organized. The 5th World Nomad Games were held in Astana, which clearly demonstrated to the world the rich nomadic civilization of the Great Steppe. The approval of a single Turkic alphabet was a historic event. Last year, at a meeting in Astana, a decision was made to appoint our permanent representatives to the Organization of Turkic States, the relevant regulations are already ready for approval," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized.
As he noted, contacts have been established within the framework of the Organization in the trade, economic, energy, financial and investment spheres.
"I believe that the effective activities of the Turkic Investment Fund have become an effective step towards deepening the integration of the Turkic countries. The theme of the current summit, "Strengthening the Turkic World: Economic Integration, Sustainable Development, Digital Future and Security for All", proposed by our Kyrgyz brothers, meets the interests of all participating countries. Over the past 10 years, economic ties between the members of the UTC have significantly strengthened. In 2024, the volume of mutual trade exceeded $45 billion. We have every opportunity to increase this figure," the president said.
According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the priority task is to strengthen transport and logistics ties within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
"It is necessary to fully utilize the potential of the "Middle Corridor", which is of strategic importance for the further economic development of the Turkic world. Therefore, it seems necessary to conclude an agreement that will ensure the sustainable development of cargo transportation along this route. I hope that the participating states will support this initiative," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
