The head of state thanked the UAE President for the warm welcome and hospitality, and wished the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week a successful outcome.

During his working visit to Abu Dhabi, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The meeting took place at the Qasr Al Shatie Palace.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev warmly recalled his meetings with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in 2023, which gave a powerful impetus to cooperation and opened up new areas of interaction.

“The UAE is our key partner in the Arab world. We are committed to close cooperation across the entire spectrum of bilateral and multilateral contacts for the benefit of our countries. I highly appreciate your efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the UAE, which is steadily developing in the spirit of friendship, trust and mutual respect. Your Highness, I look forward to welcoming you to Kazakhstan. I am confident that your visit to our country will be an important milestone in strengthening Kazakh-UAE relations,” the President of Kazakhstan said.

According to him, today the UAE is among the ten largest foreign investors in Kazakhstan.

"Last year, the inflow of direct investment from the UAE more than doubled. During our meeting in Abu Dhabi, we set a new goal - to increase trade turnover to $1 billion. I propose that our governments focus on a specific economic agenda to create positive dynamics in trade. We count on your support in implementing the Joint Declaration on the implementation of strategic investment projects. Within the framework of this document, we actively cooperate with Emirati companies in a variety of industries, including transport and logistics, energy, finance, tourism and many others, promoting mutual growth and progress," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted.

In turn, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan thanked the President of Kazakhstan for participating in the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week summit. Noting the fruitful nature of cooperation between the two countries, he emphasized the importance of further expanding political dialogue and economic ties, as well as the high-quality implementation of previously reached agreements.

The UAE President expressed confidence that in 2025, relations between Kazakhstan and the Emirates will reach a new level, contributing to the development and prosperity of the two states. He also highly praised the role of Astana in addressing pressing issues of international and regional security and sustainable development.
