During the talks in a narrow format, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that he attaches particular importance to the visit of the Bulgarian leader Rumen Radev in terms of further strengthening the Kazakh-Bulgarian partnership.
- Bulgaria is one of Kazakhstan's most important partners in Europe, with whom we have deep political and economic ties. Our bilateral cooperation demonstrates stable dynamics in a variety of areas. This is reflected in a trusting political dialogue, fruitful inter-parliamentary cooperation, dynamic growth of trade and investment, contacts between people and mutual support in the international arena.
It is pleasant to note that our bilateral trade has grown, this is a very good trend. About 60 companies with Bulgarian participation successfully operate on our market. Currently, we cooperate productively in such sectors as mining, manufacturing, transport and construction. We see great potential for cooperation in such promising areas as energy, transport and logistics, green transition, nuclear industry, space, agriculture, digitalization, healthcare and tourism, - said the President of Kazakhstan.
In turn, Rumen Radev expressed gratitude to the Head of State for the warm welcome. He emphasized that he highly appreciates the level of partnership between the countries and expects to expand cooperation in all areas of the bilateral agenda.
- Bulgaria highly values the strengthening of the traditionally warm and fruitful ties between our countries and peoples. I would like to personally welcome your far-sighted policy and large-scale reforms that contribute to the prosperity of your country. We consider Kazakhstan a key and priority partner in Central Asia. Your successes over the years are admirable: rapid economic growth, breakthroughs in innovation, science, education and high technology. Yesterday I visited the national space center. Your achievements made a deep impression on me, - added the President of Bulgaria.
