The Blago-Daryu Public Foundation received documents from residents of Balkhash on the supply of pyrite tailings to the Balkhash Metallurgical Plant (Kazakhmys Smelting) from SORES. Their analysis revealed serious risks.
According to public figures, in 2020, SORES supplied Kazakhmys with 50 thousand tonnes of pyrite tailings for 1.9 billion tenge.
