Kazakhstan cuts gold production

According to the World Gold Council, world gold production totalled 3,700 tonnes in 2024, only 0.6% more than in the previous year. China leads the world in gold production, accounting for 10.4%, or 380.2 tonnes. Significant volumes were also produced in Russia (330 tonnes), Australia (284 tonnes), and Canada (202.1 tonnes).
