They discussed prospects for strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation, as well as collaboration within multilateral structures.
The two exchanged views on pressing international issues, including the Middle East. The President of Kazakhstan expressed support for international efforts aimed at quickly establishing lasting peace and stability in the region based on the "two states for two peoples" formula.
The Palestinian leader expressed his deep gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the unwavering support of his country and people, and emphasized Kazakhstan's important role in strengthening global stability and security. The head of state invited Mahmoud Abbas to visit Astana at his convenience.
