
A ceremony for the presentation of credentials to the President of Kazakhstan by ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary from eight countries took place in Akorda.
The credentials were presented by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway Helena Sand Andresen, the Ambassador of the Argentine Republic Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieira, the Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana Koma Stim Jehu Appiah, the Ambassador of the Republic of Mali Seydou Kamissoko, the Ambassador of the Republic of Gambia Alkali Fanka Conteh, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Muhammad Nazrul Islam, the Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Shobini Gunasekera, and the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ivan Orlić.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke to diplomats about the prospects for Kazakhstan's socio-economic and political development.
"Despite external challenges, our economy remains the most stable and dynamic in the region. However, we do not intend to rest on our laurels and continue to consistently implement economic reforms. On March 15, our country will hold a nationwide referendum on the adoption of a new Constitution. We count on the support of citizens for this document, as it will be an important step towards further progress for the country. We have high hopes that the new Constitution will create a solid foundation for large-scale reforms, democratization, and comprehensive modernization of Kazakhstan, opening up new opportunities for the country's development and improving the well-being of our citizens," the President said.
The head of state noted that Kazakhstan pursues a peaceful foreign policy. He stated that all contradictions and conflicts that exist in the modern world must be resolved exclusively peacefully and through diplomatic means.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared solidarity with the Gulf states and expressed hope for a speedy resolution of the conflicts.
In conclusion, the Head of State wished foreign diplomats success in their responsible work.
