The President heard a report on the Agency's main activities and objectives for the coming period.

According to Zhanat Elimanov, budget expenditure monitoring has uncovered risks of inefficient use of 30 billion tenge in livestock subsidies. Evidence of embezzlement of over 10 billion tenge allocated in grants for scientific research and the commercialization of scientific and technical results has been established. Fourteen pre-trial investigations have been launched into allegations of embezzlement of compulsory health insurance funds, and 21 criminal cases are also under investigation for the theft of 5.3 billion tenge in construction projects.

The head of state was informed that 17 financial pyramids had been dismantled in the area of ​​countering fraud, and the activities of a group that had been carrying out mass phishing SMS campaigns using specialized equipment, posing as banks and telecom operators, had been exposed. 3,700 fraudulent websites and 22 group chats with a combined audience of over 25,000 people were shut down. The illegal acquisition of Category I licenses by over 400 shell companies was prevented.

Information on the fight against money laundering was presented separately. Specifically, 14 pre-trial investigations were initiated into the use of drop cards in illegal schemes, with a total turnover exceeding 13 billion tenge. Over 68,000 cards opened in the names of fictitious individuals were blocked. Twenty-three pre-trial investigations were initiated into the use of fictitious companies and documents, which resulted in damages of nearly 13 billion tenge. The activities of three shadow crypto exchangers laundering proceeds from Ponzi schemes, online casinos, and fraud were shut down. Access to 483 links to illegal online cryptocurrency exchange services was restricted.
