Head of State spoke at the ceremony of presenting state awards and military ranks

President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated officers and soldiers, as well as ceremony participants, on Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day.

"Both holidays are close in meaning and content, reminding us of the continuity of our country's valiant traditions. We not only honor the defenders who protect the peace of our compatriots, but also pay deep respect to the heroes who fell for their homeland during the bloody war. The Kazakhs are a brave people who defended their homeland with force of arms and spirit. In times of severe trials, when the country's future was at stake, our valiant ancestors demonstrated unparalleled unity and valiantly repulsed the invaders. Our fathers and grandfathers guarded the boundless steppe expanses like the apple of their eye and passed on this priceless heritage to their descendants. It is our sacred duty to remain true to their legacy. All the people of Kazakhstan understand this well," the President said.

According to him, the referendum on constitutional reform held in March serves as a clear example of this. The historic choice made during this crucial political campaign was driven, above all, by a profound sense of responsibility to the younger generation.

The head of state noted that the Constitution is a reliable guarantee of our statehood and sovereignty.

"It reflects the interests, goals, and unique values of the people. The new Basic Law affirms the protection of sovereignty and independence, respect for the rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as improving the well-being of the people and strengthening national unity as fundamental principles. The development of human capital, education, science, and innovation is enshrined as a strategic direction of the state. Thus, we have embarked on the path of building a just, strong, and progressive state, where the principle of law and order prevails and all citizens are provided equal opportunities. Our course is based on ambitious goals and clear guidelines. Only by preserving unity and prosperity will we be able to achieve our goals," stated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan's valiant army is proudly continuing the heroic path of our ancestors. The President is confident that our country can fully rely on the might of its Armed Forces.

"Today, the valiant army of Kazakhstan proudly continues the heroic path of our ancestors. Our courageous soldiers are a reliable shield of our sacred independence. They vigilantly guard peace and the territorial integrity of the state. Law enforcement agencies ensure the rule of law, public order, and national security. Emergency services work tirelessly to ensure the peace of mind of citizens, regardless of any risks. Our soldiers effectively solve the most complex problems, making a significant contribution to strengthening global stability. Kazakhstan is the only country in the Commonwealth of Independent States with a United Nations mandate to carry out independent peacekeeping missions. This testifies to the high standing of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan in the international arena," the Head of State said.

The President recalled the brilliant results demonstrated by Kazakhstani military personnel at global competitions among special forces and security forces.

"This year, five teams from our country participated in the large-scale international competition in Dubai. The Kazakhstani teams took first and second place on the podium. The entire world was impressed by the skill of the Tomiris team, which won a convincing victory in the women's competition. Clearly, all of this is the fruit of the hard work of our warriors, distinguished by their strong spirit, inexhaustible energy, and loyalty to their oath. The state will always support such valiant fighters. And this is our primary task in the interests of the country and the future of the nation," he said.By the Kazakhstanskaya Pravda
