Welcoming Marlen Mamataliyev, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the special significance of his first official visit to Kazakhstan for strengthening bilateral relations.
"We are glad you are visiting our country. Your visit is of great importance. I am confident it will give new impetus to bilateral cooperation. There are no contradictions or disagreements between our countries. The expression 'Kazakh-Kyrgyz – bir tugan' reflects a historical truth. As brothers, we will continue to strengthen our good-neighborly relations. The economy of the Kyrgyz Republic is developing rapidly. We support this positive trend. The election of the Kyrgyz Republic as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council is a truly historic event both for Kyrgyzstan itself and for all of Central Asia. On this significant occasion, I have already sent my congratulations to President Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Japarov," the President said.
In turn, Marlen Mamataliev thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the opportunity to meet and conveyed greetings from President Sadyr Japarov.
"I would like to assure you that the Kyrgyz side supports the large-scale constitutional reforms being implemented under your leadership, which lay a solid foundation for building a just and progressive Kazakhstan. I sincerely wish you and the fraternal people of Kazakhstan peace, prosperity, and continued success in implementing the planned reforms," said the Speaker of the Zhogorku Kenesh.
During the meeting, issues of developing interparliamentary relations and effective legislative support for bilateral agreements reached at the highest level were discussed.
A substantive and substantive exchange of views took place on issues of systemic socio-economic reforms being carried out in the two countries.
The interlocutors reaffirmed their commitment to the comprehensive development of strategic partnership and alliance relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
