The President of Kazakhstan congratulated the head of Singapore and his compatriots on the national holiday.
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a congratulatory telegram to Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam on the occasion of the national holiday, Independence Day.
The head of state noted the special significance of this date for the Singaporean people, calling it a symbol of national unity, sovereignty and sustainable development of the country.
"Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed confidence that the multifaceted cooperation between Kazakhstan and Singapore, based on ties of friendship and mutual understanding, will continue to develop steadily for the benefit of the peoples of both countries," Akorda reported.
In conclusion, the President of Kazakhstan wished Tharman Shanmugaratnam success in his endeavors and the people of Singapore well-being and prosperity.
