A meeting on national economic development and budget planning was held in Akorda under the chairmanship of Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The event was attended by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, Chief of the Presidential Administration Roman Sklyar, Chairman of the National Bank Timur Suleimenov, Chairman of the Supreme Audit Chamber Alikhan Smailov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin, Assistant to the President for Economic Affairs Nurlan Baibazarov, and Minister of Finance Madi Takiyev.
The President heard reports on the current economic situation and the socioeconomic development forecast for 2027-2029, as well as the parameters of the national budget for 2027-2029.During the discussion, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the need to achieve economic growth indicators by the end of the current year and ensure a balanced national and local budget.
The Head of State identified the accelerated construction of infrastructure and social facilities, including hospitals, children's rehabilitation centers, cultural and sports facilities, as one of the main priorities of the 2027-2029 budget .
