The head of state received Minister of Emergency Situations Chingis Arinov.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev heard a report on the department's work, the progress of modernizing the civil defense system, and plans for the coming period.
Chingis Arinov reported on strengthening the material and technical base of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to him, over the past two years, the units have received over 1,400 pieces of equipment, aircraft, modern rescue equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles, and communications equipment. This has significantly improved the speed of emergency response across the country. At the same time, the Ministry of Emergency Situations is undergoing a renovation.
He also discussed the development of the network of units, the creation of new universal rescue teams, and air and naval units. As part of the "Auyl Kutkarushylary" (Fire Rescue) program, 237 volunteer fire stations have been built, providing protection for approximately 700 communities. The development of the emergency mass notification system for the population continues, the capabilities of the Situation Center are being expanded, and early wildfire detection systems are being integrated.
Arinov also reported on social support measures for the agency's employees. Housing allowances are provided. A specialized housing cluster project for EMERCOM employees is being implemented, providing for the construction of residential buildings with the necessary infrastructure near fire stations and rescue bases.
The President commended the Ministry's ongoing efforts to improve the civil defense system. He instructed local authorities to continue working to strengthen the material and technical resources of district and rural rescue units, implement modern technologies, and improve fire safety.
