Water infrastructure modernization continues in Kazakhstan. By 2030, authorities plan to construct 42 new reservoirs, reconstruct 37 existing reservoirs, modernize 14.5 thousand kilometres of canals, and digitalise at least 3.5 thousand kilometres of irrigation networks, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
