Economy to grow 150% by 2020, President forecasts

    President Nursultan Nazarbayev said Monday that the economy will grow by 150% by 2020, according to Kazakhstan Today.
    The value of agriculture will double by 2020 and the value of industry almost as much, the president said.
    Labor productivity also will almost double in the next decade, he said
    He said the country will not be relying only on natural resources for growth, but will be creating “an alternative economy.”
    He said Kazakhstan will complete 144 economic projects worth billions of dollars this year, according to Kazakhstan Today.
