Astana to stage World Assembly of Kazakh People (Kurultai)

    A special Almaty-Astana train has left for the Fourth World Assembly of the Kazakh People. Its passengers include 200 delegates from China, Taiwan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and the Almaty Oblast in Kazakhstan.
    Guests from 35 countries are already gathering in Astana, which will host the forum from May 25 to 27.
    A send-off for the assembly delegates on the railway platform turned into a meeting spot as representatives from the city administration, creative communities, sports organizations and Almaty residents came to wish delegates a good journey, Caspionet wrote.
