President wishes a Happy Astana Day to People in Kazakhstan

    `President Nursultan Nazarbayev has wished happy Capital City Day to the people of Kazakhstan.
    The president noted that the holiday is special, since the country achieved its independence 20 years ago, and Astana has become its greatest symbol. The city is at the crossroads of Eurasia, and is a place where modernity meets the future, the president noted.
    Highly ambitious projects that would have seemed impossible just yesterday are now being implemented here, he noted.
    Nazarbayev stressed he would do his best to make the dynamics of Astana’s growth spread across Kazakhstan.
    Nursultan Nazarbayev stated, “I wish all of you a happy Astana day, a city that amazes the whole world, and will continue doing so for many centuries. Astana is a beautiful city, and it crowns our independence. Astana is the symbol of Kazakhstan. Astana is a venue for meetings of world leaders, and is a city of fulfilled hopes, as well as a city of happiness for the young citizens of our Kazakhstan. Astana is Kazakhstan’s number one innovation”.
    Nursultan Nazarbayev also presented state awards to businessmen Vassily Anissimov, Alisher Osmanov, and Zhanna Bektemirova for their special contribution to the social and economic development of Astana.
    Askar Mamin, president of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy was granted the title of ‘Honorary Citizen of Astana’.
    Askar Mamin commented, “I would like express my gratitude for being awarded this title. Astana is a symbol of the new and independent Kazakhstan. It is a symbol of the enormous potential that was created by the president. On this occasion, I would also like to wish a happy birthday to Nursultan Nazarbayev,” Caspionet states.
