Bank Astana Finance, Homebroker lose Banking Licenses

    Bank Astana Finance, a subsidiary of Astana Finance, has lost its license to conduct banking and other operations in terms of accepting deposits, and opening and maintaining bank accounts of individuals, the Kazakhstan-Novosti news agency reported on Friday, citing the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
    At the same time, Homebroker, an Almaty-based retail brokerage, voluntarily returned its license to conduct banking transactions and activity in the securities market, the company said on Thursday in a statement published by the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).
