National Security Committee ‘prevents terror attack in Almaty’ - prosecutor

On March 24, the Kazakh National Security Committee prevented acts of terrorism during their preparation in Almaty city," the Kazakh Prosecutor General's Office said.
The organizer of the planned terrorist acts was Alexander Pavlov, born 1975, a Kazakhstan native. He has been hiding since 2009 from law enforcement overseas. Since 2005, Pavlov has headed Mukhtar Ablyazov personal security service.
An investigation is underway, and the suspect has confessed, the Prosecutor’s Office said, Kazinform reports.
