Armed Forces show power at military parade rehearsal

A general rehearsal for the first Kazakhstan’s May 7 Military Parade was held at the 40th Otar military base in the Zhambyl Oblast, Tengrinews.kz reports.
The event will be attended by over 7 thousand people, including ground troops, artillery, armored units, air assault troops and even the Caspian navy.
The general rehearsal on May 3 was the final stage in preparations for the event, which will use all types of armaments and demonstrate the professional skills of the ground forces and fire power of vehicle units.
The air portion of the rehearsal included Su-5, MIG-29, SU027 and L-39 aircrafts, as well as Airbus Military C-295 turbine aircrafts that dropped paratroopers. Zhetyssu and Sunkar pilot groups performed air stunts and eliminated “targets” using modernized jets. Combat launches of ground-to-air missiles at "targets" were performed from S-125 quadruple launcher, www.tengrinews.kz said.
