President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has arrived in Astana for a state visit, Tengrinews.kz reports.
The visit will boost the cooperation of the two countries, President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at his meeting with Yudhoyono. He congratulated the Indonesian people on their Independence Day and said Kazakhstan was interested in the development of relations with Indonesia -- one of leading Asian counties.
“We are interested in the development of all-round cooperation with your country in all areas,” Nazarbayev said. He noted that transport and trade are the most promising areas for bilateral cooperation. He pointed out that the opening of embassies in Astana and Jakarta would help strengthen bilateral interaction.
Yudhoyono expressed hope cooperation would focus on energy, food, culture and education.
