Botabayev resigns at KazInvestBank as independent member

    The Board of Directors of KazInvestBank has accepted the resignation of Independent Director Darkhan Botabayev, says a news statement from the company.
    "The current situation of which KazInvestBank is in the center has appeared to have forced me to resign as independent member on the bank’s Board of Directors. The bank is not connect to what has happened and any attempt to draw the financial institution into the conflict is inappropriate. In this regard for ethical reasons, I have decided to leave the Board of Directors at KazInvestBank JSC. I think that with respect to the bank and its management it is the right decision on my part," Botabaev said.
    Chairman of the Board Nurjan Dzhanabekov has expressed hope that a fair legal assessment of the incident would be given by the appropriate law enforcement agency, Kazinform wrote.
