President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Pierre Beaudoin, the head of Bombardier Inc, met February 26 at the presidential Ak Orda residence to discuss prospects for expanding air service in Kazakhstan, CA-News.org reported.
Nazarbayev has expressed an interest in creating another domestic airline – tentatively being called Air Kazakhstan.
"We are also interested in transport cooperation. Cooperation in the training of domestic pilots and experts for maintenance centers in Kazakhstan is also of great importance," Nazarbayev said.
Bombardier, a Canadian multinational air transport company, sees opportunity for cooperation and business development in Kazakhstan, Beaudoin said, according to Central Asia Online.
