Crime rate grew in all regions of Kazakhstan in 2014 – Prosecutor General

    An increase in the crime rate was recorded in all regions of Kazakhstan over the first three months of 2014, a news statement from the Prosecutor General’s Office reported Monday.
    The crime rate rose 3.2% compared to the same period in 2013.
    In particular, offenses such as hooliganism, theft, and fraud have become more prevalent.
    However, this year so far has seen a drop in the number of serious crimes by 19.9%, and ‘particularly serious’ crimes - by 13.8%.
    In general, ‘the crime situation in the country remains stable,’ says the Prosecutor General's Office, according to CA-News.
