Kazatomprom names interim chairman

    Aidar Arifkhanov has been appointed interim chairman of the Board of Directors at NC Kazatomprom JSC, Ak Zhaik reports.
    Arifkhanov previously served as vice chairman of the company for economy and finance.
    The decision was adopted at an emergency meeting of board of directors of JSC NAC Kazatomprom.
    Born in 1974, Arifkhanov is a graduate of the Kazakh State Academy of Management. He also holds a Master's degree from Columbia University.
    Former Chairman of the Board at Kazatomprom JSC Nurlan Kapparov died of cardiac arrest on March 26 in China.
    He was laid to rest on March 28 in Almaty, according to Ak Zhaik.
