Nazarbayev reappoints Masimov prime minister

30.04.2015
President Nursultan Nazarbayev has reappointed Karim Masimov as the Central Asian country's prime minister.
Nazarbayev's news release says Nazarbayev signed the decree on Masimov's reappointment on April 29, after lawmakers unanimously approved the Kazakh's president's nomination of the incumbent.
Nazarbayev was inaugurated earlier that day in the capital Astana, for a fifth term as president.
Nazarbayev, 74, officially won 97.75 percent of the vote in a snap presidential election held on April 26 that the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) said was marred by a lack of "genuine choice" and irregularities, including ballot stuffing.
Masimov, 49, held the post of Kazakh prime minister in 2007-2012 and from April 2014 till the present, according to RFE/RL.
