Nazarbayev arrives in Kyrgyzstan on unofficial visit

    President Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived in Kyrgyzstan on August 11 on an unofficial visit. President Almazbek Atambayev greeted him at the Tamchi Airport upon his arrival.
    The two heads-of-state are expected to command respective officials to open the border between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan on August 12 as part of Kyrgyzstan's Eurasian Economic Union accession.
    The official opening ceremony will be held at the Akzhol-Avtodorozhnyi border crossing point in the presence of the two countries prime ministers, according to Akipress.
