The second round of reconciliation talks of officials from the Syrian opposition will be held today Friday in Astana, according to a press statement from the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.
Secretary of State, Gulshara Abdykalikova will deliver a welcoming speech at the beginning of the negotiations.
Earlier this year, the leader of the Movement for a Pluralistic Society, Randa Kassis and other officials from the Syrian opposition appealed to the Kazkah leadership to provide a platform for the second round of talks.
The first round took place in May in Astana with around 30 Syrian opposition members. The two-day reconciliation talks ended with signing of a document summarizing the results of talks, according to Akipress.
