Tenge hits 383.23 per dollar, and falling

    Yesterday's morning trading session in US dollar with T+0 in tenge ended on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) with a US dollar weighted average rate with T+0 settlements in tenge at KZT 383.23 per dollar (KZT+8.63).
    Trading volume was US $57,750 thousand (USD+32,900 thousand)
    Kazakhstan's national currency lost nearly half of its value against the dollar last year after the country abandoned its dollar peg in August.
    Kazakhstan's central bank said in December it would not rule out a further weakening of the currency if oil prices fall below $30 per barrel, Akipress reports.
