Nazarbayev, Erdoğan adopt Joint Declaration on Islamic Reconciliation

    President Nursultan Nazarbayev and his Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan adopted the Joint Declaration on Islamic Reconciliation yesterday, a statement from Ak Orda reports.
    The declaration was adopted following the two leaders' top-level negotiations in Istanbul.
    The two presidents reiterated their commitment to the principles of international peace and security and the development of friendly relations between the countries in the document.
    Nazarbayev and Erdoğan also urged member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to map out a new paradigm for ties in the Islamic world by demonstrating goodwill and a constructive approach to interstate relations and the settlement of conflicts and disputes, Kazinform reports.
