Kazakhstan opens Honorary Consulate in Austria's Klagenfurt

The official opening of Kazakhstan's Honorary Consulate has been held in the Austrian city of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee. Its activities will cover the federal state of Carinthia.
The opening ceremony was attended by members of the Austrian Parliament, the government, the local authorities, representatives from the business and cultural communities of the region, and others.
The Kazakh envoy drew attention to the prospects for establishing a partnership between the South Kazakhstan Oblast and Carinthia. He called on Austria to help develop existing potential.
Head of the Austria – Central Asia Parliamentary Group Christine Mouton noted the importance of the opening of the Honorary Consulate, designed to assist in regional cooperation between the two countries.
Carinthia, located in the southwestern part of Austria, achieved notable successes in tourism, agriculture, energy and wood industry. The federal state is a logistics hub for the Alps-Adriatic region, Akipress reports.
