Due to a positive temperature background and precipitation, a high flood hazard is forecasted in several regions of Kazakhstan, Kazpravda.kz reports.
“March 26, on the rivers of the south, southeast and east of the republic, due to an increase in the temperature background, snowmelt and precipitation, water level rises, floods, local and slope runoffs are expected. On the Syrdaria river and rivers of the East Kazakhstan region, there will be further weakening and destruction of ice. In the mountain areas of the designated regions, there is a danger of avalanches, in the south and southeast, due to precipitation and melting snow on slopes, descents of individual landslides are possible", - the press service of the State Institution "Kazselezashchita" informs.
At the same time, according to the data provided by the MIA Emergency Situations committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a regime of storm warning is maintained in a number of regions.
Thus, on March 26 in the East Kazakhstan region precipitation is expected (rain, snow), in some places heavy precipitation, fog, ice, snowstorm are forecast with wind of 15-20, in some places 23-28 m / s, with gusts up to 30 m / s and more. March 27-28, due to a positive temperature background and precipitation, further water level rise, formation of slope and local runoffs, spills and flooding are expected.
March 26 in Almaty and Zhambyl oblasts in connection with the expected rains, sometimes heavy rains, and positive temperatures, the formation of slope and local runoffs, growth of water levels are possible.
March 26-30, on some rivers of Karaganda, Akmola and Kostanay oblasts, due to the positive temperature background and snowmelt, the formation of flood and local runoffs is expected, spills and flooding are possible.
March 26-27, on some rivers of the North Kazakhstan and Pavlodar regions in connection with the positive temperature background and snowmelt, formation of a flood, local runoff is expected, spills and flooding are possible.
March 27-29 on the Syrdaria river (within the Kyzylorda region), due to the expected precipitation and a positive temperature background, the water level rise, floods and flooding are expected.
March 26-28 in South Kazakhstan in connection with a positive air temperature and the expected precipitation in the form of rain, on some mountain rivers there may be rises in water levels and water discharge to floodplains.
