Kazakh President urges local administrations to watch pandemic developments closely

The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, instructed regional akims to keep the situation with coronavirus under strict control. This was announced by Berik Uali, the press secretary of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"Mayors of Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent, and governors of the Almaty, Akmola, Aktobe, Atyrau, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Mangistau, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan regions reported to the Head of State on the sanitary-epidemic situation in the respective regions. There is a downward trend in the incidence of coronavirus; the number of cured patients is growing. In general, the situation is stabilizing. A stock of beds and medicinal products has been created. The President instructed to keep the situation under strict control, considering this task as a priority," wrote Uali on Facebook.

Earlier the Health Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexei Tsoi spoke about the possibility of easing quarantine measures in the country.
