Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Serik Zhumangarin, Chairman of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition, according to the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the work plans of the newly created Agency for Protection and Development of Competition.The President was informed about the upcoming measures aimed at developing competition in the country, creating a pro-competitive climate and recognizing competition as a national idea. For their implementation, a National Competition Development Project will be developed, which will cover all industries and regions. Industry and regional competition standards will be developed.
The Chairman of the Agency told the Head of State about the organization of the new structure. In particular, the priority areas of work will be to ensure sustainable growth and development of the economy, increase the economic efficiency and competitiveness of market entities, and protect consumer interests.
The President emphasized the importance of forming healthy competition in Kazakhstan based on the advanced experience of the world market. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pointed out the importance of solving the tasks of increasing the efficiency of the economy and protecting competition, set in the Address to the people of Kazakhstan, and gave a number of specific instructions to the head of the new Agency.
