We need further economic and political reforms, transformations in the spheres of education, healthcare, digitalization, protection of human rights, and the environment. The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wrote about this on his official Twitter page.
"At the 5th meeting of the NCPT, I proposed a number of specific measures and initiatives aimed at modernizing the country. We need further economic and political reforms, transformations in the spheres of education, healthcare, digitalization, protection of human rights, and the environment," the President of Kazakhstan twitted.
"Special attention should be paid to children with special educational needs and persons with disabilities. It is necessary to constantly improve the work on formation of an inclusive public environment, updating the relevant standards and regulations," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev explained.
The Head of State also mentioned that a phased implementation of the National Indicators for assessing the observance of human rights will begin in Kazakhstan.
"In Kazakhstan, a phased implementation of the National Indicators for assessing the observance of human rights will begin, which will be compiled on the basis of 14 global indicators developed by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights," the President of Kazakhstan added.
The issue of elections of district akims, which should take place in 2024, was also raised.
"Direct elections of district akims are to be held in 2024. I believe that this initiative will make a significant contribution to the democratization of our country and strengthening of the institution of local government," the Head of State said.
The Head of State also instructed to legally prohibit the sale, lease of agricultural land to foreigners and foreign legal entities.
"The land is a solid foundation and a sacred symbol of our statehood. Therefore, I instructed to legally prohibit the sale, lease of agricultural land to foreigners and foreign legal entities," concluded Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Recall today the fifth meeting of the National Council of Public Trust was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
