
An expanded online meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the chairmanship of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has started in Nur-Sultan.
Earlier, the press secretary of the Head of State Berik Uali said that the meeting will sum up the results of the country's socio-economic development for the first half of 2021.
The President will also outline the tasks for economic development in the post-pandemic period.Recall that at the last expanded meeting of the Government, which took place on January 26, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the Government to develop proposals to improve the fiscal policy.In his speech, the Head of State noted that the main task of the Government is to restore economic growth, attract investments and increase the real incomes of Kazakhstanis.
The President highlighted the importance of supporting small and medium-sized businesses, affected by the pandemic, restrictive measures and disruption of trade ties.
In addition, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev criticized members of the Government and akims for shortcomings in the work to increase the share of local content in procurement.
The issues of practical implementation of the initiative to use pension savings to improve the living conditions of Kazakhstanis were also raised.
