Health Minister Alexei Tsoi told a CCS briefing that there had been a surge of coronavirus in all regions of Kazakhstan over the past two weeks.
"Compared to the previous two weeks in the country as a whole, there is a 1.9 times rise in the incidence in all regions. Compared to June, the average daily incidence increased 5.2 times, the occupancy of infectious and intensive care beds tripled, "the speaker said.
According to him, the healthcare system is working with a double workload compared to last year.
The Minister noted that a shortage of infectious and intensive care beds is possible in a number of regions, and that 99.9% of the sick were not vaccinated.
