President receives UAE Ambassador to Kazakhstan.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Kazakhstan Mohammed Saeed Mohammed Al Ariqi.
The President and Ambassador discussed the prospects for the development of the Kazakh-Emirati strategic partnership. Special attention was paid to enhancing of trade, economic and investment cooperation in priority sectors. The Head of State stressed the firm commitment to further strengthening the traditionally friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Kazakhstan and the Emirates.
The UAE Ambassador expressed gratitude to the leader of Kazakhstan for the opportunity to meet and informed about his country’s readiness to increase bilateral cooperation and implement joint investment projects.

Head of State receives Chairman of Central Election Commission
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Nurlan Abdirov.
The President was briefed on the priority areas of CEC’s activity during the inter-election period. The Head of State heard a report on the work of election bodies in the regions on holding elections of akims of cities of district subordinance, villages, settlements, and rural districts.
In conclusion, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed CEC to ensure the transparency of all election processes in accordance with the law.

Head of State receives Governor of Turkestan rgn Umirzak Shukeyev
Kazakh Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Governor of Turkestan region, Umirzak Shukeyev.
Tokayev was informed about the work done in Turkestan region in 2021. According to Shukeyev, the region’s GRP rose 4.7% in 2021 compared with 2020. Products output in the agro-industrial complex totaled KZT906.5bn, thanks to which the region is the country’s second top agricultural producer. The governor informed that 315 projects have been funded through the Economics of simple things program. The President was informed about the high construction rate in the region with the construction volume rising by 4.1% compared with 2020.
According to Shukeyev, the first stage of the work to establish Turkestan as a cultural and spiritual center of the Turkic world has been completed, the basic social infrastructure has been established. In his words, the new comprehensive plan for the development of the region for 2021/25 has been approved. The governor also reported that according to the concept «Hearing State» the discussion club Parasat is in operation as a pilot project in Sairamsk district. The project provides for meetings and open discussions between heads of law enforcement bodies and citizens of the region.
Tokayev positively accessed the outcomes of Turkestan region’s development and instructed to carry on with the implementation of the projects and strengthen the interaction with the people.

Kazakh President and National Bank governor confer on price control
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Chairman of the National Bank Galymzhan Pirmatov. The head of state was informed about the implementation of the disinflationary monetary policy and the plans of the National Bank to stabilize price growth, taking into account the main risks in the external and domestic sectors.
The President also heard a report on the situation in the foreign exchange and money markets, the state of the country's gold and foreign exchange reserves, as well as a preliminary assessment of the balance of payments for 2021.
Galymzhan Pirmatov presented his vision and plans to further improve the effectiveness of monetary policy, aimed at fulfilling his main mandate - ensuring financial and price stability.
After getting acquainted with the plans of the National Bank for 2022, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave a number of specific instructions.
