President of Kazakhstan addressed the 22nd Congress of the Nur Otan Party.
«Nur Otan Party played the important role in the construction of the State. It consolidated the society to implement the tasks aimed at strengthening the potential of Kazakhstan as a leading State in central Asia. Speaking of the future of the party, we should remember its real contribution in the past,» said Tokayev. The President went on to say that it is necessary to remember with gratitude the work of the activists committed to the party.
«New tasks requiring solution emerge. We have to respond to new political and economic realities. Otherwise, we will face stagnation with all its consequences,» concluded the Head of State.

Kazakh President supports renaming Nur Otan Party into Amanat
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev supported the renaming of the Nur Otan Party into Amanat.
«The word Amanat is translated as the legacy of ancestors, mandate for future generations. Amanat is a deep notion, with special symbolism in the history and culture of the people. It reflects the unfading ideals of independence, values of strong statehood, and universal national unity. Vast expanses of our motherland left by our ancestors, we must keep and strengthen this invaluable legacy, which is our sacred duty to the past and future generations, I support the renaming of the Party [Nur Otan] to Amanat,» stated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during the extraordinary Congress of the Nur Otan Party.
Earlier Majilis Speaker Yerlan Koshanov proposed to rename the Nur Otan Party into Amanat.
