Bullion veers up on dwindling greenback


Gold prices rose on Wednesday, supported by a retreat in the dollar and renewed doubts about the possibility of a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.

Spot gold was up 0.6% to $1,931.16 per ounce by 9:40 a.m. EDT (1340 GMT).
