Glencore prepares to pay up to $1.5 bln to settle U.S., UK, Brazil probes


Glencore Plc, which among other activities owns and exploits Kazakhstan’s major mining combine Kazzinc, said on Tuesday it anticipates paying up to $1.5 billion to settle accusations of bribery and market manipulation by U.S., British and Brazilian authorities, and three of its units agreed to enter guilty pleas.
