Brent barely holds on top of $100/b as global crunch looms


Oil prices fell in volatile trading on Wednesday, extending Tuesday's heavy losses as growing fears of a global recession outweighed supply concerns.

Brent crude futures fell by $1.33, or 1.29%, to $101.44 a barrel by 1353 GMT, having risen by more than $3 earlier in the session.
