Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev heard information from State Advisor Yerlan Karin on the work of the State Commission for the Complete Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repressions.
The activity of the State Commission is focused on the research direction.
Members of the commission, prominent scientists, experts carried out large-scale work in the archives of the country, studied closed funds.
Together with interested state bodies, work is underway to declassify departmental archives and provide materials for the rehabilitation of citizens.
The head of state was presented with 31 volumes of documents and materials on the history of various categories of victims of repression.
This year, the State Commission will continue to study the history of victims of repression, digitize archival documents and form electronic funds, the presidential press service added.
