The President took part in the opening ceremony of the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week summit

The Abu Dhabi Summit is the first international forum this year to focus on a wide range of critical topics, including food and water security, energy access, industrial decarbonization, health and climate adaptation.

As part of his official visit to the United Arab Emirates, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the opening ceremony of the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week summit.

The event was also attended by President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of South Korea Yoon Sok-yeol, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Angola João Lourenço, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, President of the 27th session of the UN Climate Change Conference COP27 Samih Shukri, as well as politicians, leaders in the fields of renewable energy, technological development and innovation, investors and entrepreneurs.

As part of the summit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is expected to speak.

ADSW 2023 is a global initiative promoted by the UAE to support international efforts in the sustainable development process.

The Abu Dhabi Summit is the first international forum this year to focus on a wide range of critical topics, including food and water security, energy access, industrial decarbonization, health and climate adaptation.

The purpose of the event is to set the agenda for sustainable development and give impetus to the 28th UN Climate Change Conference (COP 28) by bringing the global community together and promoting constructive dialogue to build consensus on various issues, innovative partnerships and innovative solutions.

ADSW 2023 will host the first Green Hydrogen Summit, which will highlight its potential to decarbonize key sectors of the economy, Akorda added.
