The President of Kazakhstan heard a report on the socio-economic development and investment potential of the Pavlodar region.
After getting acquainted with the situation in Ekibastuz, the head of state arrived in Pavlodar, where he was informed about the socio-economic development and investment attractiveness of the region.
As the oblast akim Asain Baikhanov reported, 344 billion tenge was attracted to the region in the first half of the year, which is 30% higher than the same period last year.
The head of the region announced the construction of a technical silicon production plant in Ekibastuz worth 35 billion tenge. It is also planned to launch a plant of the EkibastuzFerroAlloys company in the region. The project, which is expected to invest 92 billion tenge, will create more than 1,500 jobs. In the field of railway engineering, it is planned to launch a forging and banding complex of the RailCastSustems company with an investment of 78 billion tenge.
Operating enterprises of the region also received state support. Thus, the company "Neftekhim LTD" was the first in the CIS to start the production of an epoxy compound. KazMunaiChem LLP launched the production of a full cycle of reagents and additives for the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.
The head of state was told about the progress of work on the largest project of the international company PolyMetal International plc to process 300,000 tons of gold concentrate to produce 15 tons of gold per year. The volume of investments will amount to 347 billion tenge.
Separately, the President was informed about the technical condition of the power industry enterprises. Akim of the region assured that in 2024 the modernization of the power units of GRES-1 and GRES-2, as well as power plant No. 7 in the city of Aksu, will be completed.
In addition, Asain Baikhanov reported on the prospects for increasing food production. According to him, the production and processing of milk is growing in the region; this year, 10 new modern farms are being built additionally with a total investment of over 30 billion tenge.
In conclusion, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to ensure the implementation of socio-economic development plans and continue work to attract potential investors.
