The dialogue agenda includes issues of joint work to further strengthen the sovereignty, sustainability and prosperity of Central Asia through the C5+1 partnership in the fields of economics, energy and security.
At the Kassym-Jomart summit, Tokayev spoke after US President Joseph Biden. Also taking part in the event were President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
During the meeting, prospects for the further development of strategic partnership, political dialogue, trade, economic, investment and humanitarian cooperation, as well as issues of maintaining peace and stability in Eurasia, were discussed in detail.
Particular attention was paid to economic cooperation, as well as opportunities for American companies in such areas as the development of critical minerals, renewable energy, manufacturing and others.
In addition, the discussion touched upon prospects for strengthening cooperation in solving security problems, including cybersecurity, terrorism, violent extremism, illegal migration and drug trafficking.
Kazakhstan also counts on US support in creating the UN Regional Center for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan in Almaty, the Presidential Press Service reported.
