Iran keen on Kazakhstan joining OPEC

"We welcome Kazakhstan's membership to all international organizations, including OPEC," said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on April 6 at a press conference in Astana.
During their visit to Astana, the Iranian delegation discussed the construction of an oil refinery plant in northern Iran. The initial capacity of the plant might equal 15 million tons a year. The project with a budget of $266-275 million can be reimbursed in three years, according to Capital Trend
OPEC comprises 11 countries - Algeria, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Venezuela.
