Kazakhstan: UFO Falls, Official Investigation launched
15.05.2009
Two mysterious metal objects fell from the sky on May 14 in western Kazakhstan. A team from the Department of Emergency Situations has been dispatched to the area to investigate.
According to eyewitnesses in Zelenovsk, two large balls about 60 centimeters in diameter crashed to earth. "I was standing by my tractor when the guys started shouting,
“Look, there are some balls flying.”
They were big and sparkling yellow, red and green," an eyewitness said. Kazakhstani news agencies added that the objects consisted of "a very hard alloy" and do not appear to be radioactive.
"Eye-witnesses say these items fell in a field near the village at night. The fall was accompanied by illumination. When the locals came to the objects, they were still hot to the touch," Alexander Ivanov, an official with the Department of Emergency Situations told Kazakhstan Today.
"According to preliminary data, these items can be described as fragments of an aircraft. Specifically what kind of devices (they are) can only be determined after examination," he said, according to Eurasianet.org.
